On Day 2, you’ll head toward the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a collapsed volcanic caldera, home to an incredibly diverse range of wildlife. You may encounter elephants, lions, buffaloes, flamingos, and even the rare black rhino. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, enjoying the unique landscape and its abundant wildlife. After lunch, you’ll continue your journey to Serengeti National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. You’ll enjoy a short game drive in the Serengeti before heading to your lodge or camp for an overnight stay.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. With its rolling grasslands and rich wildlife, the Serengeti offers unparalleled opportunities for game drives. You’ll search for the “Big Five” (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos), and if you’re visiting during the migration season, you may witness the awe-inspiring sight of thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains. In addition to the migration, Serengeti offers countless wildlife encounters, from predators hunting to herds of gazelles grazing. Enjoy a full day of adventure and return to your accommodation in the Serengeti for the night.

After an early morning game drive in Serengeti, you’ll head toward Lake Natron, a breathtakingly unique destination located at the base of the active Oldoinyo Lengai volcano. The drive offers scenic views of the African savanna and the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Lake Natron, you’ll be greeted by its stunning landscapes—known for its striking red waters caused by algae and its salt flats. This is also a great spot for birdwatching, particularly flamingos, which breed at the lake. In the late afternoon, you can enjoy the surrounding landscape, take a walk along the lake, or even visit the nearby Engare Sero Waterfalls. Overnight at a lodge or camp near the lake.

Today, enjoy a full day exploring Lake Natron and its surroundings. Early in the morning, you can take a guided walk to the Engare Sero Waterfalls, a stunning natural site where you can cool off with a swim in the refreshing waters. Afterward, spend some time learning about the unique ecosystem of Lake Natron, which is home to a variety of bird species, including large flocks of flamingos, as well as smaller animals like zebras and giraffes that come to drink at the lake’s edge. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the base of Oldoinyo Lengai, an active volcano, for a more adventurous exploration. The area is fascinating for geology enthusiasts and offers dramatic views. In the evening, enjoy the peace and quiet of the remote location, spending another night at your accommodation near the lake.

On your final day, you’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast before starting your journey back to Moshi. The drive will take you through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania, and you’ll pass through small villages and stunning highland views. You can stop for lunch on the way and reflect on your incredible safari experience. Upon arrival in Moshi, your 6-day safari will come to an end, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s natural beauty and wildlife.
